Zainab Khan is the CEO of Carolinas Institute. She is a Certified Clinician for Applied Neuroscience for Anxiety and Panic Disorders; Board Certified Autism Specialist; National Custody Evaluator, and a National Board Certified Forensic Evaluator. She received her education from Loyola University Chicago and Roosevelt University Chicago and post-graduate training from Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy. Zainab received her post-graduate pediatric neuropsychology training from UIC Medical Center and has worked in inpatient hospitals and outpatient private practices. Zainab has over 15 years of experience in working with diverse populations, including survivors of sexual assault and gender based violence; refugees; asylum seekers; women, children, and LGBTQI community members. Her areas of experience include Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD); PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder); survivors of suicide; intergenerational trauma; and she has specialized training in behavioral/emotional therapy for children and adolescents. Zainab has presented internationally on therapeutic interventions for children that have experienced trauma, including in Spain, France, United Kingdom, and Turkey.
